Acacia holosericea is a small tree or shrub, up to 7 meters high, with a spherical crown that is silvery gray. Branchlets prismatic, smooth or densely hairy. The petiole is 10-25 cm long and 1.5-9.5 cm wide, covered with dense fine silk hairs, with 3 (rarely 2) parallel veins and obvious reticular branches. Spikes, 3-6 cm long, solitary or opposite, flowers bisexual, yellow. The flowering period is mainly from June to August, but some also bloom from April to October. The pods are spiral-shaped and 3-6 cm long. Mature seeds are black and shiny, with cup-shaped arils. The seed maturity period is from August to October.
Acacia holosericea has root nodules and can fix nitrogen. It is suitable for growing in a variety of sites in semi-dry and semi-humid tropical areas. It is one of the main tree species for firewood, charcoal production, windbreaks and soil and water conservation forests.
