Long ovate, 2-5 cm long, bipinnately divided or deeply divided, with 2-3 lobes on each side, lobes oval or oblong, 1-1.5(-2) cm long, each lobe often 3- 5. Deeply or shallowly lobed, with small lobes linear, linear-lanceolate or oblong, 0.5-1.5 cm long, petioles 1-3 cm long, with linear, semi-carpal pseudostipules at the base; the middle leaves are ovate or oval in shape. Oblong, with one or two pinnately deeply lobed petioles, short petioles, and half-embracing pseudostipules; the upper leaves are 3-5 deeply lobed; the bracts are 3-lobed or unlobed; the flower heads are oval or nearly spherical, 2.5-3 mm in diameter, with small bracts at the base arranged in a spike shape
