It is an annual herbaceous plant with a plant height of 50-70 cm. It likes to grow in humid places with insufficient light. It can bloom as usual in light places. It is easy to identify due to its unique arrangement of leaves. Many branches, square cross-section, false whorled leaves, some of the 8 leaves in each whorl are stipules, and the leaf shape is lanceolate; the flowers are small, mostly integrated into cymes, and the flowers are blue. It is now commonly cultivated for flower borders and rock gardens.
