Stem: The stem is thin and tough, upright or creeping at the lower part, with adventitious roots at joints, spreading and growing, and the stem is hairless;
Leaf: The leaf sheath is slightly ridged, hairless or sparsely pubescent, the sheath mouth is often pubescent, and the leaf ligule has one round of cilia; the leaf is linear, 1-12 cm long, 1-3 mm wide, usually hairless;
Flowers: spikes usually 3-5, 1.5-5 cm long; spikelets grey-green, sparsely purple, with 1 floret, 2-2.5 mm long; globules 1.5-2 mm long, second globules slightly longer, all with 1 vein, edge membranous; lemma navicular, 5 veins, ridged back, ridges pubescent; lemma and lemma equal length, 2 veins; upper edge of scales nearly truncate; anthers lavender;
Fruit: Caryopse long cylindrical;
