Annual herb or subshrub, stems puberulent, leaves ovate or elliptical, apex acuminate, base short acuminate or blunt, edge entire or nearly entire, petiole slightly upwardly folded, with single leaves scattered on the blade. It likes a cool, sunny environment and fertile, loose, moist soil. It avoids high temperatures and humidity, and is not tolerant to cold and frost. It is an outdoor grass that blooms in summer and is suitable for flower beds or potted plants.
