The main root is relatively thick, with a single stem or several stems in clusters, with multiple branches and alternate leaves on the upper part; the basal leaves are oblanceolate or broadly oval, the petals are bright yellow, the upper part is folded in, the middle rib is raised, the small tongue is semicircular, and the apex is 2 shallow. Split; style base dark yellow, wider than ovary. The double-hanging fruit is broadly oval, brown, and blooms from July to September.
