Asparagaceae dracaena is an evergreen tree with tall branches and gray stem bark. The young branches have annular leaf marks. The leaves are clustered on the top of the stem, sword-shaped and dark green. The inflorescences are in panicles with white flowers. Greenish, filaments are filamentous; berries are orange, spherical; the flowering period is from March to May, and the fruiting period is from July to August. It is native to Spain, tropical and subtropical areas of Africa, and is also distributed in southern China.
