Plant: 10-15 (-20) meters high, 15-35 cm in diameter.
Stem: The stem is green, covered with white felt-like hairs, with annular leaf marks.
Leaves: The leaves are 3-4 meters long, the young leaves are nearly leathery, and the old leaves are thickly leathery; the pinnae are 15-60 cm long and 3-10 cm wide, alternate, and rarely nearly opposite at the top. The uppermost pinnae is large. Wedge-shaped, with 2-3 lobes at the apex, small, rhombus-shaped side pinnae, straight outer edge, the upper half or more than 1/4 of the inner edge curves into irregular tooth gaps, and extends into a short tip or tail tip.
Flowers: The spathes and inflorescences have no bran-like scales; the inflorescences are 3-3.5 (-5) meters long, with many spike-like branched inflorescences, 1.5-2.5 meters long; the calyx and petals of male flowers are not detached from the felt Villi-like, the sepals are broadly rounded, about 5 mm long, 6 mm wide, the tegmental sepals are smaller than the tegmental lateral sepals, the surface has wart-like bulges, the edges are not crenulate, glabrous, the petals are oval, about 2 cm long. 8 mm wide, yellow, with 50-111 stamens (31-), anthers linear, about 9 mm long, yellow, filaments nearly white; female flower calyx is about 3 mm long, 5 mm wide, apex entire, petals about 5 mm long ; 3 staminodes, subulate-shaped, 1/3 times the length of the corolla; ovary nearly ovoid and triangular, stigma 2-lobed.
Fruit: The fruit is spherical, red when mature, 1.5-2 cm in diameter.
Seeds: 1 seed, rarely 2, with chewed endosperm.
